About

The McMaster Women in Engineering Society is a group of undergraduate Engineering, Biotechnology, and Computer Science students focused on creating a community where female-identified students feel empowered and supported throughout their education. The Society has seen a lot of growth in the past year and we are especially excited to see what we can accomplish with our new team and professional development initiative. It is a goal of ours to provide our students with opportunities to network with each other and industry professionals as well as grow as individuals. We strongly believe in the importance of introducing young girls to the world of STEM through our various outreach opportunities such as high school and community events. The McMaster WIE Society has five main initiatives that we follow to aid in the growth and support of the STEM Community. They are Professional Development, Highschool Outreach, Community Outreach, Mentorship, and Social Events. If you are a female identified student of the faculty of engineering at McMaster University, then great news, you are automatically a member of the society! All engineering students are welcome at our events and we encourage each of you to follow our social media platforms to stay up to date with the latest on McMaster Women in Engineering. Our door is always open to all students and we would love to hear from you with any questions you may have. Please direct all inquiries to: wes@mcmaster.ca.
