Introduction
Hi! I’m Mj (be sure to add me on LinkedIn), and I am a passionate Eng 1 student planning to go into Civil Engineering + Society next year. I am also originally from Mississauga, ON! I bring multiple years experience of planning events and putting them into action by holding leadership roles through Student Council (Jr. Leader, executive, President), my school’s Cultural Club (executive), Senior Week (Coordinator), Camps (Site Leader), Mac Eng Society Culture (VP Culture), and Church (youth leader). In these roles, I have planned many events such as fundraisers, dances, special events, Coffeehouse, theme weeks, Senior Sunrise and Movie Night, intramurals, pep rallies, karaoke lunches, House Gala, Zaga-Gon-Cultural, and more. I bring motivation, enthusiasm, organization, flexibility, strong communication, teamwork, leadership, budget planning, self-confidence, and the ability to strengthen/foster strong interpersonal relationships.

Campaign Platform
My platform is promoting the “party hard” of Engineers, advocating for student’s needs, and encouraging a sense of belonging within the Mac Eng community. I want to stand out against the anti-social stereotypes and build a fun atmosphere for engineering students to be the person they are outside of academics. I will follow the steps the preceding AVP Events Spring has done and construct a bigger staircase! I want to put into action semi-annual (or more) tournaments like Engineering Cup Pong Tournament, Video Games Tournament, and/or Bowling Tournament. I also propose Engineering field trips like skiing/snowboarding. Some side ideas are a Battle of the Engineering Bands or theme weeks/days (wouldn’t we all love a faculty PJ day??).
