Introduction
Hello everyone! My name is Sameer Suleman, I’m running for Assistant Vice President of Clubs & Services at MES. I enjoy going to the gym, playing basketball and just like many of you, I enjoy scrolling through TikToks at unreasonable times in the night. I’m a results-oriented individual with a passion for getting the job done well and getting it done right. I get along easily with everyone and know the right person for whatever needs to be done. I’ll ensure to take in any requests and use my connections to improve the engineering clubs in a way that YOU want!

Campaign Platform
As the Assistant Vice President of Clubs & Services at McMaster, I’m fully prepared and committed to take on the challenge of creating a more engaging and exciting campus for all students through club and extracurricular activities. Clubs are the lifeblood of any campus, and they play a crucial role in shaping your experience at McMaster and your future onwards. .
As AVP Clubs & Services, my primary goal is to increase funding for clubs to encourage activity and participation and increase the amount of AWESOME things we can do on campus. There are quite a few clubs with so much potential but lack the funding to make it big; which is why it's my goal to provide a foundation for these clubs to bring these amazing activities to you. By increasing funding, we can not only ensure that there is a club catered to every student’s diverse range of interests.
In addition to funding, I want to take in YOUR opinions and ideas about what clubs we should have or how we could improve existing ones. In doing so, we can continue to improve every student’s club experience. I believe that everyone has unique skills and interests, and clubs can be a great way to share those passions with others and therefore, I’ll work to provide the right resources and support for students who want to start a club but may not know where to begin.
Most importantly, I want to introduce clubs that can specifically assist students with networking and building their careers. I know we all came into Engineering for all sorts of reasons, whether that be for money, a longtime passion or maybe because you didn’t know what to do and just threw yourself into Engineering. Whatever the case, It’ll all be for nothing if you can’t find a job after graduation, which is why networking and career building is so important. As AVP Clubs & Services, I plan to bring clubs that’ll allow you to develop a strong network and build the right skills that you’ll need to succeed in the future.
Overall, I believe that as AVP Clubs & Services, I can make a meaningful impact on the McMaster community. By increasing funding for clubs, incorporating feedback from students and introducing career-building clubs; I’m confident that I can create a more engaging, and exciting campus for students. Therefore, I’m humbly asking you to vote for me during this upcoming election, and I promise you that I’ll make your experience here at McMaster the best it can be.
