When the application window opens, select Import from the Feature menu. (Note: If you select AutoCAD from the menu, you’ll open the Import command. Click on the down arrow and select Import from the menu.)Choose Import from My Drawing or Import from Scanned Paper.In the Import dialog box that opens, choose the file type (PDF or picture) and select the area you want to import. (see details below)A new drawing window opens, showing a preview of the imported content. When you’re satisfied with the import, click the Finish button.New Geometry Profiles:Use these profiles for quickly importing data to drawings. The profiles include most common common predefined geometry to simplify the task of importing existing CAD data, and to support a variety of customer needs. (video: 1:14 min.)An asterisk next to a profile indicates that it is enabled for all users.The new profiles are located in the Drawing Manager, with the following profile names:Export to *.DWG: The profile prompts you to save the exported drawing to a *.DWG file (DWG = Microsoft Word Drawing) by default. The *.DWG extension was chosen to support common file types for Autodesk CAD data. The Export DWG to DWG Profile is not available when the DWG file format is changed in the Drawing Manager.Export to *.DWF: The profile prompts you to save the exported drawing to a *.DWF file (DWF = Autodesk Autocad Fireworks) by default.
