WHAT ARE REDSUITS?
Redsuits are the team of Welcome Week representatives for the Faculty of Engineering, made up of Comp Sci, iBioMed, B. Tech, and Engineering students. The Redsuits are a passionate group that welcomes the new generation of students to the Mac Eng Fireball Family.
IS REDSUITS FOR ME?
Are you passionate about helping first year students with their transition to University? Do you love Welcome Week and want to be a part of it? Then you should try out to be a Redsuit! We strongly encourage anyone and everyone to apply! :)
THE TRYOUT PROCESS:
Tryouts are the annual process whereby the Engineering Welcome Week Rep Team is selected. The tryout process consists of three main components:
Written application (Due March 7)
Group tryout (March 13/14, March 20/21)
Individual interview (Immediately after your tryout)
QUALIFICATIONS & TASKS TO COMPLETE:
Here is everything you need in order to be considered for the 2021 Welcome Week Rep Team:
Be an undergraduate student at McMaster University that will be graduating no earlier than
the Fall 2021 Term
Sign-up for one 15-minute tryout slot with a group of 4-6 other applicants (5 minute group
component, followed by individual interviews). Link on the side to sign up!
Complete the Word Document Application linked on the side!
Complete the Online Application with the same answers as the Word Document (DUE
SUNDAY, MARCH 7th at 11:59PM)
Join the tryout call 5 minutes before your tryout. The waiting room feature will be enabled,
and you will be let in once the group before you has completed their interviews!
Note: If your group wants to submit a pre-recorded video for your tryout, please refer to the FAQ for instructions on how to submit.
