Are you an undergraduate student in Engineering, Computer Science, B.Tech, or iBioMed? Do you want to participate in a democratic process that impacts the experience of every student in your Faculty? Then look no further!
Yes, it's that time of year again... McMaster Engineering Society's second Semi-Annual General Meeting (SAGM) of the 2020-21 school year is happening THIS SATURDAY, March 13 at 3:00 PM on Zoom. SAGM is your chance to hold MES Council accountable to the student body and vote on our most significant policy initiatives. You'll hear from clubs and teams to learn how they've been spending their MES funding, and have the chance to voice your concerns on where the MES allocates its resources. If you've been looking for ways to get involved in you community, SAGM is the opportunity for you!
Please note that SAGM is also where Department and Program Societies secure MES funding for their own activities, on the condition that 10 members of their student population are accounted for at SAGM. Please support your program by attending SAGM to help them meet quorum. SAGM can be accessed from the start time of the event using the button below.
This Saturday is going to be a wild ride - we hope to see you there!

MES Council consists of voting members - all Department & Program Representatives, Associate Vice Presidents, and Executives - and non -voting appointed officials. General MES Council meetings occur periodically throughout the academic year, while the Exec and AVPs meet weekly over the summer during the summer and during the year. MES Council exists to serve students, and we make our meeting minutes publicly available to encourage transparency and student engagement.
Below, you can check out what the MES Council discusses and debates at our council meetings, or use the form to request a discussion topic. Any student in Engineering is welcome to join the meetings. Contact email@example.com for more information.
